Since its inception, AMC Art Medical Centre has been committed to a continuous improvement in raising safety standards as its most important aim. Our efforts and work in the last 2 years have been recognized by the Mayor of Szczecin in the Zachodnio-Pomorskie Region, by an economic prize "Innovation of the Year" and our "Safe Treatments in Plastic and General Surgery" have been highlighted in the economic competition of the Marshal of the Zachodnio-Pomorskie Region. In our development strategy, despite the fact that we have already achieved much in the field of the safety, we still focus on improvement in this area. This is why we have decided, among other things, to expand the operating theatre in order to meet the highest safety standards. We are proud to announce that, from next week, the AMC Art Medical Centre will perform surgical procedures in plastic, general, orthopaedic and gynaecological surgery using two full profile operating rooms connected by a system of locks, constructed and equipped with ALVO technology. We deeply believe that the only true direction for the development of AMC is continuous work to improve the safety of our patients, both in terms of technology and in improving the skills of our experienced Medical Team.
Between the 16th and 18th of April 2015, in Józefów (a town near Warsaw), a National Conference for Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer was held, entitled "Falenty 2015". The meeting was concerned with all of the challenges which doctors are currently facing in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, ethical issues of contemporary oncology, surgical treatment problems, radiotherapy and systemic therapy. The discussion was supplemented by workshops organized in cooperation with the Polish Ultrasound Society and the International Breast Ultrasound School (IBUS), concerning breast imaging and biopsy of suspicious lesions under image control. The conference was attended by (among others) Prof. Fatima Cardoso (Lisbon), Prof. Christoph Zielinski (Vienna), Prof. Krzysztof Maruszewski (Italy), Prof. Ruben Orda (Tel Aviv) and DCh Paul McGale (Oxford). DCh Artur Sliwinski held a lecture: "Light and Dark Sides of a Deferred Breast Reconstruction."
A communal conference of plastic surgeons, aesthetic dermatologists and doctors in aesthetic medicine took place under the title "FACE - MODERN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY". The meeting was held on 11 April 2015 in Warsaw. The aim of the conference was the exchange of professional experiences between doctors during joint theoretical sessions and workshops. DCh Artur Sliwinski, as one of the lecturers, had the opportunity to present his experience in the field of combined plastic surgery procedures and aesthetic medicine in facial operations.
Between the 7th and 8th of March 2015, in Vienna, a training course took place in the practice of facial surgery and the modelling of its individual components, accounting for the latest techniques and implant materials. The course was composed of two parts: theoretical and practical, covering such issues as rhinoplasty, eyebrow and forehead lift, upper eyelid plasty, face lift and mid-face lift. A small group of participants had the unique opportunity to perfect practical skills and apply new surgical techniques. The only one member from Poland was DCh Artur Sliwinski.
On November 6-9, 2014, Dr Artur Śliwiński took part in the 2014 QMP AESTHETIC SURGERY SYMPOSIUM, hosted by The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). This year’s conference was held in Chicago (Illinois, USA). The hottest topics in plastic surgery were presented and discussed during the meeting: fat grafting, nose reconstruction, body contouring (including following acute weight loss), breast surgery, face, neck, eyelid and periorbital rejuvenation.

All attendees had an opportunity to listen to lectures on the aforementioned topics, state of the art operating techniques, watch example surgeries on-line, exchange experiences and discuss progress made in plastic surgery as well as non-invasive aesthetic medicine treatments.
