Abdominal plastic surgery is a surgery aiming to remove loose skin and fat tissue from the abdomen and suturing the muscles. The excessive amount of fat tissue usually results from pregnancy or body mass loss. The aim of the procedure is to achieve abdominal muscle strengthening and to have a more flat abdomen.
Currently, the following abdominal layer correction methods are utilised:
surgical excision of excessive tissues,
body shaping (full traditional abdominal plastic surgery or mini abdominal plastic surgery),
liposuction,
combination of the above-mentioned methods (usually liposuction + mini abdominal plastic surgery).
The procedure is conducted in an operating room, under general or conduction anaesthesia, with participation of anaesthesiological and surgical staff. The procedure lasts about 1-2 hours. The patient is required to stay in the clinic for 2-4 days.
