There are many ways to improve the look of our lips, starting from fuller look and ending with reduction concerning small lines and wrinkles. Injections or implants may improve their natural look. Upper and lower lips may be enlarged by injecting a thin line of Teosyal along their margin, or it is possible to perform a fat grafting or dermal grafting (from the deep inner layer of the skin). The aim of the procedure is to enhance and correct lip shape by using an autograft or artificial fillers. The technique is based on collecting corium, that is the dermis, from buttocks or pubic region, and after appropriate preparation, introducing this material into lips through small incisions in corners of the mouth and through previously prepared tunnel. The result can be visible immediately after the procedure. It is a durable outcome. The procedure is conducted in an operating room, under general anaesthesia, with participation of anaesthesiological and surgical staff. The procedure lasts about 30-40 minutes. The patient is required to stay in the clinic for 1-2 days.
