We are extremely pleased to announce that an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction procedure was performed for the first time in Poland by Maciej Karaczun, one of our doctors, using an ULTRABUTTON device.
Almost immediately after its premiere, the newest implant by one of the most respected makes in the sports medicine field (Smith & Nephew), was used during a procedure performed at the AMC Art Medical Center in Szczecin.
According to clinical trials testing anterior cruciate ligament fixation, Ultrabutton demonstrates the highest failure loads amongst the most popular competitive devices. Cutting edge solutions used in constructing the implant mean that our patients can expect even better results following an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
AMC Art Medical Center is one of the first medical facilities in Poland to use surgical tissue adhesive during treatments. ARTISS tissue adhesive is a two-component fibrin sealant for tissue and contains two coagulation proteins. These are fibrinogen and thrombin. During surgical application, these two proteins mix and clotting takes place.
In plastic and reconstructive surgery, tissue adhesive may be used instead of sutures. It is recommended on order to improve haemostasis on the surface of subcutaneous tissue. Application of the product reduces tissue healing time and significantly improves patient safety, shortening recovery periods. Our team is constantly improving its knowledge within the scope of state-of-the-art surgical techniques and puts them into practice within the scope of performed medical procedures.
We are adamant that being top of the scale when it comes to patient safety is the most significant advantage of AMC Art Medical Center.
We recommend that you take a look at the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, where you’ll find information about our AMC Art Medical Center.
